Children’s author/illustrator and artist.
Have you ever wanted to live in a fairy tale? Well, that’s exactly where I live.
I’m Emma Dunne and much of the time I live in the very secret place of Mossycup Wood. A place few people know about and those who do keep it very hush hush.
Slightly magical, it’s where fun is the flavour of the day, where the imagination wonders unhindered and where your heart fills with the abundant joy that nature brings.
This is where I write Tales of Mossycup Wood a series of children’s picture books and pack them full of colourful and whimsical illustrations. Accompanying the books is a delightful range of Staffordshire fine bone china and a collection of watercolour paintings where you can meet the tiny Pogglewitt folk I see wherever I go.
With its rich pigments, natural minerals and unpredictable nature watercolour is my medium of choice.
Developing a style of my own, my designs are full of whimsy and magic. From the toys I make, the stories I write and the art I create, nature is always at the heart of everything I do.
The natural world really is all the inspiration I need.
Join me on this magical journey into Mossycup Wood the home of the Pogglewitt, a funloving tiny folk who live in the trees. Follow the adventures of Frogbit, Fleabane, Butterflypea and their chums as they encounter all kinds of happenings and goings on in Poggle Hollow and beyond.
