Gaynor Frostick
Textiles
I originally trained as a Glass Artist at North Staffs Poly in the 1980’s. I made glass bowls and jewellery for over ten years, my glass sold worldwide and was stocked in many prestigious galleries and shops including Liberty in London.
I have always been creative and will try my hand at any craft that I find interesting. My work is now a part-time hobby and I make mainly collages and decoupage adding detail with acrylic paint. I use embroidery and collage together to create brooches and greetings cards. I also make kits for children as I like to encourage creativity. I have recently had some laser cut hares made and used collage and paint to decorate them. I try to explore different media and use poetry in some of my work. I have made special pieces of collage work using fabrics, and personal ephemera for special event such as weddings and birthdays.
