The Cygnet Gallery is an original and imaginative collection of arts and crafts
As a combined gallery and studio, the Cygnet offers local artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. Unique and varied pieces from fine art to silversmithing, from glass work to textiles, to photography and ceramics, calligraphy and sculpture - there is always something new to see here and an artist to answer your questions. We enjoy talking about what we do - you're welcome to come in and browse or have a chat.
The Cygnet was opened on August 29th 2009, as a co-operative style space for artists and craftspeople. It currently hosts 12 artists’ studios and around 30 individuals, giving them High Street space in the heart of the town, for working and retail use.
Throughout the year the Cygnet has open days in Swans Yard; artists and craftspeople exhibit their work outside, and there's live music and a busy cafe.
