Snowdrop Exhibition 2021

After the Fall of Man, Adam and Eve were driven to a land of permanent winter. An angel consoled them by promising there will be better times ahead and blew upon the falling snowflakes which, as they touched the ground, were transformed into snowdrops. Where ever the snowdrop grows as soon as it raises its head is a sign that spring is on the way.
“Where an angel blows on snowflakes, snowdrops with grow” by Anna McDowell

After the Fall of Man, Adam and Eve were driven to a land of permanent winter. An angel consoled them by promising there will be better times ahead and blew upon the falling snowflakes which, as they touched the ground, were transformed into snowdrops. Where ever the snowdrop grows as soon as it raises its head is a sign that spring is on the way.
Snowdrop
Giving the impression of white, innocent fragility, the snowdrop hangs down shyly; however, in reality, it is strong and robust
and can withstand
storms and wind. Its Christian legend echoes this: Adamand Eve, having been cast out of Eden, were left to wander in a cold
barren land. The Angel feels deep sorrow for them; so, as soft snowflakes in their perfect kaleidoscope of shapes land on his
palms, he breathes upon them. The twinkling crystals of snowflakes are transformed fromglittering ice into soft, pearly flowers:
the first Snowdrops. The Angelsays to Adamand Eve: "Let this pure little snowdrop be a sign to you that summer and
sunshine will come again.” So, blooming at the end of dark winter, snowdrops have always been a sign of Hope, instilling new
confidence and courage within us.
