Claire Waters
Fine Artist
After studying Architectural Glass at Swansea University Claire now works from her studio in a small Somerset village producing one off pieces of glass set into locally sourced wood and stone.
Glass is unique as a medium due to the relationship that exists between the glass and light. It is an extraordinary and vibrant medium to work with to create artwork that enriches personal living spaces as well as public areas. I specialise in the design and manufacture of stained and decorative glass for domestic and public spaces, providing a complete service from design through to installation, giving individual attention at every stage to ensure complete client satisfaction. I use a full range of both traditional techniques including traditional leading and painting and more contemporary techniques that include sandblasting, acid etching and acid polishing, fusing, slumping, decorative laminating and glass mosaics to achieve a wide variety of effects to suit the commission received. Together with commission work I also produce one-off bespoke glass panels and wall hangings together with a wide range of glass gifts Contact details Mobile: 07738 162791 Email: claire.waters@live.co.uk Website: claire-waters.co.uk |
