Dorset Uglies
Dorset Uglies are quirky ceramic sculptures, designed to bring a wonky smile to your home and garden. Each Ugly is individually hand-built, so they are all one-off pieces. I use crank (grogged) clay, painted with either oxides or stains, and then fired upto 1230 0C (stoneware). This means that The Uglies are FROSTPROOF. I make a wide variation of Uglies, ranging from grotesques to dogs and cats, wildlife and farm animals. Ideas and commissions are always welcome.
