Sue Hannant makes a range of decorative items that include:
Novelty tea cosies and small sculptures made from fabric coated in resin. Sue also exhibits paintings that feature animals. Here is a poem she recently composed about her work: ‘One of our daughters has no children, But a dog she really loves. Her pooch each year gives a birthday gift, But this year – not just gloves. 2021 was a ‘special year’, So needed a ‘special’ gift too. I have many photos Of her dog, whose name is ‘Roo’. One day I found some pencils, How old one just can’t say, Belonging to our daughters, From a distant day. I sat down with these coloured leads, Could I copy a photo was a mystery, But, on completion, and others’ views, I guess the rest is history …’ Sue can be contacted at the Cygnet Gallery |
