Susi Gardner
Wildlife and Pet Portrait Artist
Susi has a profound passion for capturing the soul of the animals she paints. Self-taught, her journey in art was rekindled during the lockdown period, allowing her skills to improve and become what they are today, and still growing. She is committed to using the pieces created to raise awareness of the challenges faced by many of our species of wildlife. An avid supporter of wildlife conservation 20% of all Susi’s product profits go to wildlife conservation charities.
The first and main focus of Susi’s paintings are the eyes, once she feels she has captured the soul of the animal she is painting, the rest falls into place. Susi predominantly uses Michael Harding Traditional oil paints, high quality paints which are created in the UK, her canvases are either Winsor & Newton, Jackson Art’s or more recently Belle Arti – ensuring a good quality base for these vibrant paints. Susi is a proud member of the Association of Animal Artists, Southern Nature Art and The Wildlife Art Society International.
